Scaffold founder Kimber Heinz is a public historian and exhibit developer based in Mebane, North Carolina. She is an experienced curator, oral historian, and researcher. Her roots are in community organizing. Kimber has worked with a variety of institutions, organizations, companies, and community groups across the country to create permanent and traveling humanities exhibitions and story-based experiences. She has also worked as an organizer with national and North Carolina-based progressive organizations for over a decade. She holds Master’s degrees in History with a concentration in Museum Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
